Texas Monthly, June 2010

The minimalist decor and lusciously tart Prickly Pear Tea exert as strong a pull as the artful combinations in the panini, salads, and soups. We were tempted by the smoked salmon salad but chose the Bacon, Mozzarella and Tomato Panino. Our friend was equally impresed with the ratatouille and ham.

Texas Monthly, February 2009

"This Strand area lunch spot is hip yet comfortable, as is the food. We savored a panino with applewood-smoked ham and Gruyére and asparagus and a salad of smoked salmon atop cucumbers and asparagus, dressed with a delectably lemony vinaigrette. For dessert, we split a swooningly dense but not too sweet chocolate marquise, a cross between cake and mousse."

Texas Monthly, February 2008

"At this hip understated cafe, muted rose and chartreuse walls provide the perfect canvas for the contemporary art from the gallery next door. The applewood-smoked ham, Gruyére and asparagus panini intermingled textures admirably, as did a mesquite-smoked turkey sandwich with chipotle cream. Portions are just right, so we found ourselves indulging in the Tortuga Rum Cake, imported from the Grand Caymans.

The Parrot, April 2008

"Deliciously good for you and the planet...The sandwich of Kobe style roast beef was melt-in-your-mouth fabulous.....The ambience of EATcetera is charming- a lot like a sophisticated café in Europe....Quality food, moderate prices and a commitment to the planet made EATcetera a new Island treasure."
